Training Manager

General Responsibility Statement:
A Training Manager is responsible for identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance.
They monitor training program effectiveness, manage budgets, and stay updated on training trends.
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with managers.
Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations.
Deploy a wide variety of training methods.
Conduct effective orientation sessions.
Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them.
Manage training budget.
Provide opportunities for ongoing development.
Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
Oversees a team of Trainers.
Ensures work is achieving established quality standards.
Appraises performance of the training team and makes appropriate recommendations to the Vice President of Engineering & Manufacturing.
Addresses personnel conflicts and/or performance deficiencies in a timely manner.
Works closely with all production departments within the organization.
Authors or creates documentation relating to training.
Participates in continuous quality improvement programs by providing team leadership and technical support.
Coordinate with Human Resources to maintain a database of curriculum, materials, and personnel training records.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises a team of employees (primarily Trainers) within the department.
Provides advice/input to the Vice President of Engineering & Manufacturing on performance and training/development opportunities for all employees within the department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training and development of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, or other related field Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
Good computer skills.
Works effectively in cross-functional teams and with other work groups, shares information that others need to do their job.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
This position occasionally lifts 50 pounds.
Required to sit and use computer, handle paperwork, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee is also at times, exposed to fumes and or airborne particulates.
